Standard Checklist

  • Visual check of your home & property for damage & leaks

  • Visual check of your refrigerator, washer, and dryer

  • Run the washer and dishwasher monthly

  • Visual check of your garage

  • Alternate your lighting 

  • Visual check of your exterior plants & landscaping

  • Visual check for bugs and pests in & around your home

  • Remove flyers, door hangers, newspapers, and other door-to-door solicitation debris

Pricing

  • Standard checklist items are $30 per requested visit and includes a report and photos of any problem areas so that you can see the condition of your property inside and out.  And if you're seniors (65+) or veterans, we offer a 10% discount.

  • Our time to provide the optional services are priced in half-hour increments at $30/half-hour

  • Housekeeping, landscaping, plumbing, repairs, handyman, and pest control costs are in addition to any hourly costs for our overseeing the work, as are any costs for purchases made on your behalf and direction. 

  • NOTE: we can recommend contractors or we can contact yours.  You must pay all the contractors directly.  We can oversee or check on their work as well as send pictures if you desire.

We're local and your neighbor

Our names are Joe & Tatiana. We live in the Villages of Rancho El Dorado.  We've been here since January of 2017 and relocated from Western Massachusetts to escape the snow and ice.  Joe is the Chief of Staff for a Sales Training company and also runs a small business incubator.  Tatiana is a retired physician and runs our non-profit foundation, The Orphan Foundation. 
If you're wondering why we started this little business, it's because about a third of our neighbors live only part of the year here. The list of items in our checklists comes from things that we've done for our next door neighbors (and ourselves) over the 6 years we've been here.  
Recently, one of our neighbor's friends asked if they knew of anyone that does this sort of drop-in "house-sitting" service, and they came to us.  We thought about it and said it might be fun to do it as a side business as we move closer to retirement. So that's our story, and we hope that we can help give you some peace of mind when you're not here in town.

We have a minimum charge of $30 for any optional services we arrange for you.

NOTE: We have several contractors that we use personally and trust, if you need recommendations when you become a customer.
